| Abstract: | These are “Christmas Tree Dedication” programs for the years
of 1957, 1958, and 1959. These concerts were held at the City Hall Park
in Manhattan. The “Sanitation Department Band”, directed by
John Celebre, played Christmastide Music and the National Anthem.
“Our Lady of Lourdes School Choir” and “Equitable Life
Assurance Society Choral Club” also participated in these annual events. |
| Description: | The programs measure 8.50 x 11.96", 6.97 x 11.64", and 7 x
11.64" The three programs were found together and at some point
were stapled. The 1958 program has visible marks of tape and ink. They
were compiled anonymously for the Sanitation Department. |
