| Abstract: | Black and white picture showing two workers of the Department of Street
Cleaning. One is uniformed and the other is not. There is a one-horse
cart in the background. |
| Description: | The street in which the cleaning is taking place shows other people. An
adult man holding what seem to be papers, and three young children of
approximately 1, 3, and 5 years old. The verso of the picture has a
sticker of the Sanitation Department that reads, "New York City
Department of Sanitation. Bureau of Public Affairs. 125 Worth Street.
New York, N.Y. 10013. (212) 788 3917 [the Caduceus on the left]. There
is also a stamp with the number 535, and a handwritten inscription that
reads: cr. 1910 |
