Abstract: Logo for the New York Department of Sanitation with a description of the logo on the back of the image.
Description: On the front page is a large image of the current logo for the New York Department of Sanitation. On the reverse side of the page is a description entitled "About Our Logo" with a smaller picture of the DSNY logo. Below the logo is a historical description, tracing the name of the Department from the Department of Street Cleaning. It also references the White Wings. The description discusses the fact that the focal point of the DSNY logo is a medical symbol. This references the relationship with sanitation and health. It is unclear when this image was created but the description references it as the "new logo."
