| Abstract: | Thank-you letter from Herbert H. Lehman to Mr. John Celebre for the
Department of Sanitation Band's participation in the "Salute to
Freedom" rally April 27th, 1958. |
| Description: | Typed letter dated May 2nd, 1958 sent from Herbert H. Lehman to John
Celebre. The letterhead reads "American Committee for Israel's
Tenth Anniversary Celebration." The makeup of the Committee is
listed on the left-hand side of the stationary. Herbert H. Lehman is
listed as the General Chairman. John Celebre is the leader of the
Department of Sanitation Band. Found among contents of a binder labeled
"Sanitation Band Historical Collection, Bureau of Public Affairs,
Compiled by: Joel Feuer." Unclear if the contents of the binder
reflect the contents of Frank J. Lopiano's presentation to the
Department of Sanitation in January 1984. |
