| Title: | Sanitation Police Officer Issuing Ticket or Summons |
| Authors: | Unknown |
| Keywords: | Trash and Transformation Litter Uniform Officer, sanitation police Garbage |
| Issue Date: | 19-Oct-2007 |
| Abstract: | A scan of a photograph of sanitation police officer writing a ticket for
a litter violation |
| Description: | Source: Robin Nagle. Original photograph is black and white,
approximately 8" X 10". Photograph was found in a collection
of other photographs labeled "Litter Lens." The collection of
photographs as a whole documents violations of the Department of
Sanitation's rules about the disposal of litter. The officer's uniform
resembles that of the New York City Police Department. There are several
unruly piles of empty cardboard boxes and miscellaneous other materials
strewn across the sidewalk. Though the immediate area appears to be
residential, the offending litter appears to have come from a commercial source. |
