Title: TEMPORALLY ACTIVE DATABASES := ACTIVE DATABASES + TIME
Authors: Tuzhilin, Alex
Issue Date: Dec-1991
Publisher: Stern School of Business, New York University
Series/Report no.: IS-91-43
Abstract: A method of adding time to active databases is described in this paper. This is achieved by incorporating operators of temporal logic, temporal actions, and different temporal clauses into the Event-Condition-Action model of a rule. In addition, a temporal recognize-act cycle is described and new temporal conflict resolution strategies are proposed. A conflict avoidance strategy for temporal rules is also described.
