On the float are two Department of Sanitation workers; a White Wing with a carry can and a driver in a Department of Sanitation car. Also atop the float is a sign labeled "Gateway to Health" over a pair of gates and a sign labeled, "Clean Up Coney Island 30,000 Treated for Cuts Last Year!" Also pictured on the float is a rubbish bin labeled "paper," which probably represents an early effort to encourage separating garbage and recycling. The float itself is labeled at the bottom in large letters, "Department of Sanitation. The float is located on a residential street, the specific borough is unknown, but it could possibly be in Brooklyn, due to the mention of Coney Island.en
