Abstract: Sanitation worker in dark uniform sweeping litter in wet street. Hoses along the street spray water into windows of a building behind him. Uniformed men who appear to be firemen stand behind him, along with what appear to be civilians. Business names and street numbers visible and partially visible. Street and occasion unknown.
Description: Black and white glossy 8" x 10" photo with white borders. Verso: pencil "25642" in top right corner. Provenance: Removed from site by Robin Nagle, 9/07. Found in kraft envelope with printed block reading "Name______.No._______/Remarks_______/Date______/Dr.______" in top left; lines not filled in. Black magic marker on envelope: "25642." Smaller kraft envelope inside contains 4" x 5" plate negative (good condition); envelope reads, in caps, "Case No.____/Date____/Name____/Address____/Remarks____/_____." (Also blank.) Pencil along length of top: "Daily News," underlined. Black ink: "25642." (Published in Daily News?)
