Abstract: Two black and white photographs of original negatives of a dead body found at Baisley Park Dump, Queens, New York, on 1-21-38. Body is being taken out of refuse and carried out of the dump by police and firefighters.
Description: Photographs found in archives of New York City Department of Sanitation. Baisley Park Dump, Theodore Scherney, Found Dead, 1-21-38 is written on the back in black marker. Photo on top left is body being dug out of refuse by police and firefighters. Bottom photo is two police officers carrying the body of Theodore Scherney away from dump on a gurney.
